AUCKLAND
WEDDING CELEBRANT
Hello and congratulations
on your exciting decision to get married.
Congratulations on your exciting decision, I have been privileged to marry couples in some stunning Auckland venues making truly memorable wedding ceremonies for loved ones.
From funky urban nightclub settings to vineyard, backyard, or iconic Auckland beaches, the Auckland Region offers an amazing range and diversity for you to say “I do”. But if you have landed on this page you will already be aware of many of the amazing locations available.
Being a celebrant is really one of the best jobs, I get to listen to all your ideas and stories, of how you meet, fell in love and all the fun filled adventures along the way. From there I craft a bespoke ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple. You sign off on the ceremony before the BIG DAY.
I encourage a rehearsal, and I always arrive an hour before the ceremony, where I deliver your wedding ceremony with mindful sincerity, and authenticity, making it a memorable ceremony that stays in the hearts and minds of friends family but more importantly, you the newlyweds forever.
Marriage Matters:
Although we are now allowed to gather in groups of 100, the rules of social distancing still apply. However, looking to the future this shift does provide more certainty when planning your special day. I understand it will still pose problems for families who will be travelling from overseas to New Zealand to attend and celebrate. So I totally understand couples wanting to pause on setting a date to tie the knot.
However, we can get the ball rolling, by meeting and beginning to write a first draft ceremony. So please get in touch, I am keen to chat and hear all about your proposed wedding day plans.

MY CEREMONY PHILOSOPHY
The transition to train to be a celebrant at the Celebrant School based here in Auckland, has been a natural progression from, teaching oral communication, event planning, owning my own business, along with training and managing staff, the skills and life lessons I have learnt along the way, have dove tailed perfectly into my role as a celebrant.
It is a great privilege being a celebrant, and to share in loved ones special day, is an absolute honour.
I believe that ceremony captures the moments that really matter in life, and I seek to customise every ceremony to reflect you. I want to hear your stories: how you met, what’s important in your relationship, the quirks and contradictions that make you fabulous individuals. Together we will bring your stories to life, making your wedding ceremony UNIQUE - truly your own.
I look forward to meeting you both and together we can create your UNIQUE wedding ceremony.

THE PROCESS
WORKING WITH ME AS YOUR WEDDING CELEBRANT
Step 1: Contact Me:
We will check to see if I am available for your wedding date, and then we can set up an obligation-free meeting to see if I am the right celebrant for you.
Step 2: First Interview:
Step 3: Creative Design & Thinking Stage:
On the basis of our discussion/interview and any suggestions that have been given, I will research, explore and gather any resources and ideas.
Step 4: Second meeting:
This is where the ideas, reflections, and preliminary plans are shared. We meet and together we run through, in full detail, all aspects of the ceremony. The Order of the Ceremony, the exact wordings, readings, poetry, music, and clarifying who does and says what will be confirmed at this meeting. I will record in detail the exact words requested.
Step 5: Ceremony Crafting:
This is where I begin to create and weave your story and design your ceremony in full detail. I write an overview and order of events with your ceremony. I will be in contact regularly (via email) to ensure I have included all that we discussed in our second meeting.
Step 6: Confirmation of Your Ceremony Details:
Step 7: Wedding Rehearsal:
Your wedding party and anyone with a role in the ceremony should be present. However, often people are travelling great distances to share your special day with you, so that can't always be possible.
We'll run through the shape of the ceremony, rehearse the logistics of the ceremony and organise cues for musicians or guests with a speaking role.
It is also important for the audio person to attend so that we can check volumes and music cues.
Step 8: The Big Day:
I'll arrive an hour before the wedding is due to start. I will make sure everything is ready as planned. You will get married!
Step 9: Getting Certified:
After the ceremony, I will send all of the paperwork to the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry nearest you and register your marriage.
You can then use the B45 A form (Copy of Particulars) to apply for your official Marriage Certificate, the details of which are on the reverse side of the Copy of particulars.
